As part of the Call for Knowledge Dialogue by the Vice-Rectorate for Research at the University of Antioquia, we participated as partners in the research process Dhopabejari pepiri mari vhira Puerto Pinilla majara i Vhisíri thurire, led by Rosa and Henry González and other researchers from the community of Puerto Pinilla, ASATRIBVA, the Takaka communications collective, with the support of professors Natalia Quiceno and Marcela Gómez from the University of Antioquia and researcher Valerin Saurith.

The process sought, through dialogue and knowledge sharing, to deepen understanding of viꭜsíri and anemia in the community of Puerto Pinilla, in the Lower Vaupés, and to generate recommendations for both the community and the institutions that serve these populations. As a result, we produced a series of audiovisual materials using the PhotoVoice technique, as well as a booklet with the main findings of the local research process. This material becomes a key resource for working in two ways: on the one hand, with the community, to understand the perspectives of medical science on malnutrition and anemia; and on the other, with health personnel, to understand local notions and social representations of the disease, its causes, treatments, and the importance of strengthening people's care practices and land management to improve the well-being of the population.
