Sociocultural adaptation of clinical practice guidelines in Maternal and Child Health for Nasas, Misaks and Yanaconas in Huila.
What is the project about?
In order to strengthen the technical, operational and organizational capacities of health care institutions in Huila, we adapted the guidelines for prenatal care, childbirth, puerperium and child care to the customs and worldviews of the ethnic groups present in the territory (Misak, Nasa and Yanacona ethnic groups).
What did we do?
We elaborated a document of diagnosis and characterization of the maternal and child health of the Nasa, Misak and Yanacona indigenous peoples.we built 3 Clinical Practice Guidelines (pregnancy, childbirth and puerperium) socioculturally adequate and developed and validated in a participative way by the Nasa, Misak and Yanacona indigenous peoples.we created a methodological document of the process of sociocultural adequacy of the clinical practice guidelines.
