Sinergias - Strategic Alliances for Health and Social Development, based on the ethical values of transparency that we promote and the commitment that for 12 years we have acquired with indigenous and rural communities throughout the country, is allowed to clarify the following points:
For the realization of projects and processes in the territories we do not receive money from the State, Ministries or the National Government of Colombia, unless they are done properly and through call processes where the organization participates in a transparent manner. Most of the resources are driven by funding from international cooperation and are complemented by the support of the communities themselves who, from their interest and their contribution, contribute to the development of the various activities we carry out.
In the department of Vaupés we generate strategic alliances with various local and national institutions and organizations. At the moment we have a collaborative work agreement with the San Antonio de Mitú Hospital and with ENOSIMAR. These processes do not have direct resources, but are developed from the will of the parties.
We emphasize that we are not health service providers and we do not intend to be, therefore, we believe it is important to coordinate with health entities and institutions. In the case of the department of Vaupés, through the agreement with the San Antonio Hospital, we have been able to carry out joint activities such as weight and height measurements and the delivery of micronutrients and antiparasitic drugs for children under 5 years of age, which contribute to strengthening the processes that have been taking place in the territory.
For the process of the collective construction of the Indigenous Health System (SISPI) and the strengthening of capacities in territorial governance in Vaupés, we have worked from the understanding that it is a process specific to the communities and the actions that have been carried out have been proposed, agreed and carried out hand in hand with the associations with which we have worked. Additionally, for the development of these territorial efforts, no resources have been received from the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Colombia or from the Governor's Office of the Department of Vaupés.
The way we work focuses on joint collaboration that fosters the self-development of the communities. For this reason, the information, data, stories and all the inputs that have been co-constructed during the development of different projects and processes around the country have been given to the communities themselves so that they can use them for their own benefit, freely and free of charge. Additionally, all this information is available in our different information and communication channels such as our website (www.sinergiasong.org), newsletters and social networks.
We do not participate or take action in processes of political parties, ideological or religious tendencies, pressure groups, armed groups or any other force that may intervene negatively with the organizational ethical guidelines. And the individual opinions of the collaborators and allies of our organization do not represent in any case the work and being of Sinergias.
Our organization has been working for 12 years in the territories of Colombia and our commitment has always been with indigenous and rural communities and organizations throughout the country. During these years we have been able to establish relationships of trust on the basis that collaborative work contributes to the strengthening and development of the territories. We want to continue our work for the health and social development of indigenous and rural communities throughout Colombia.
If anyone would like to clarify any information, request any document mentioned in this press release or simply want to learn more about our organization, we invite you to contact us at contacto@sinergiasong.org and we will be happy to assist you.
