Dany Mahecha

Anthropologist, Master's Degree in Amazonian Studies. Doctor of Letters from the Faculty of Arts at the Free University of Amsterdam, Netherlands. Undergraduate and graduate professor at the National University of Colombia, Amazonia campus. Her professional and academic career has been related to research and teaching on topics related to the Colombian Amazon, as well as consulting for NGOs and government institutions. Most of her work has been carried out with indigenous populations. Her main areas of academic interest include human ecology, land use planning, cosmology, intercultural education, gender relations, socialization processes, and community organization.
