Lawyer from the University of the Andes in Bogotá with a Master's Degree in Law (LLM) from Boston University, USA. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association. She currently works as an advocacy advisor at Sinergias and, together with the organization Training for Change, conducts workshops for activists and influencers on public policy and social justice issues. For several years, she worked as director of the Program for Action for Equality and Social Inclusion (PAIIS) at the University of the Andes and as a senior lawyer at Women's Link Worldwide, where she served as director of the Gender and Justice Observatory and worked on projects related to migrant women's rights and the implementation of international human rights standards with a gender perspective. Between 2001 and 2006, she worked as a supervising attorney for the domestic violence unit of the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project in Seattle, USA, where she provided direct representation and support to immigrants who were victims of domestic violence, sexual violence, human trafficking, and other violent crimes.
