I am a doctor from the National University of Colombia with a master's degree in public health from the University of Washington (Seattle, USA). I have more than 26 years of experience in program and project management and research in public health and am an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Washington School of Public Health and Community Medicine.

I worked for six years in Africa directing maternal and child health projects focused on populations with HIV/AIDS and coordinating the Operational Research Center in the city of Beira, Mozambique. I am the founder and director of Sinergias.
