Qualitative study on the experiences of the indigenous population of the Colombian Amazon referred to health services in Bogotá, Villavicencio and Mitú.

This research aimed to describe the experiences of indigenous ethnic groups of the Colombian Amazon when they try to access health services outside their communities, mainly in the cities of Mitú, Villavicencio and Bogotá. As part of this study, the itineraries that indigenous people follow when trying to access health services outside their communities were described, delving into the context and the conditions in which lodging, food and logistics services are provided in shelters in urban centers. Based on this information, recommendations for the adequacy of these services were made.
